Cessation of Membership
Membership of the society shall be terminated in the event of:

  1. Death or permanent insanity of member.
  2. Voluntary withdrawal of membership after a 3 months notice to the Secretary subject to confirmation that such member is not indebted to the society.
  3. Expulsion of member on account of any of the following reasons:
    • Conviction by a competent Court of Law on any criminal offence bordering on dishonesty and fraud.
    • Failure to settle debts dues from him/her to the society for three consecutive months. In such cases, the Society shall take steps to recover outstanding debts due to him/her from the Guarantors and/ or institute appropriate legal procedure against such erring member and guarantors as the case may be.
    • Failure to meet monthly obligation in terms of thrift savings and/or investment for three (3) consecutive months.
    • Grievous acts of misconduct that is antithetical to the Objective of the Society. All cases of expulsion shall however be confirmed by the ordinary or Extra-ordinary General meeting as the case may be.
